With her left arm she clutches an unlikely assortment of gold and silver vessels and common household objects. Before this onslaught the demons prance about impotently or cower within ruinous buildings; at the left, a giant grotesque head, much as the fish in Bruegel’s Big Fish Eat the Small, regurgitates a slew of unclean creatures outside the walls of Hell.
